If you have been following my blog for a while, you may have seen that I have Endometriosis. If you are unsure what that is, read more information here. One thing I have read about endometriosis is about pain management. Endometriosis is something I will have until I have a hysterectomy. Being young, I am not ready for that. The best thing I can do is manage the pain. After reading much information I read that lifestyle changes can help with the pain. I decided to try out a plant-based/non-dairy lifestyle. It was a little hard at first, I mean it is a big change. Watching what you eat constantly can be hard.

One thing I learned from switching to Plant Base was that I needed support. Not just from friends and family, but I found support groups on Facebook that were tons of help. Plus I loaded up with so much fantastic information, recipes, and much more from them!

Since switching not only has the pain been a little more tolerable, but my mood has been better, I have had so much more energy. I all around feel better! I often wonder why didn’t I switch to Plant-Based sooner! It did take some getting use too, especially if you are eating out, etc. But it is doable!

What is #Switch4Good?

Olympians join forces to counter misleading messaging prominently featured in the Milk Life Olympic advertising with the launch of the #Switch4Good campaign – an initiative that uses athlete testimonials to educate consumers on the health and wellness benefits associated with switching to a non-dairy, plant-based lifestyle.

The #Switch4Good campaign is an initiative led by Olympian Dotsie Bausch, with the help of fellow plant-based Olympic athletes, who have incredible stories about making the switch – for good – from dairy to a plant-based lifestyle.

A signature component of this initiative is a 30-second commercial that spotlights the stories of six Olympians who reached peak performance — even Olympic gold and world records — along with transformative health benefits by ditching dairy.

 How can you help?
By sharing their inspirational stories in the #Switch4Good campaign, these dairy-free Olympians have committed to encouraging and educating others on making the switch from dairy.

These Olympians want the public to be informed about what goes in our bodies, and want to share the message that even small steps in reducing dairy intake can offer health benefits — ranging from weight loss, improved digestion, disease prevention, and increased energy.

The commercial spot will air in multiple markets on NBC on Sunday, February 25, 2018, including during the closing ceremonies of the 2018 Winter Games in South Korea.
