LEGO City: Educational Entertainment

Southern Momma’s received the below items for free in order to publish this post. However, all opinions are 100% her own.

My son is a LEGO fan. He recently decided he wanted to move up in LEGO world. He no longer wanted the “baby” lego’s/ He was ready for the “big boy” LEGO’s as he called them.

Do you know how many LEGO sets they have? Probably not, but its a ton! Just about a set for anything you can think of. My son really enjoyed the City Sets since they are lifelike. He loved building things than actually getting to play with them. Well, let me rephrase that. He likes mommy to build them so he can play with them!

When following along with the instructions, this set was fairly easy to build. My son had a blast helping me and I loved bonding with something so simple. It was enjoyable to watch him be able to play with this set for hours after building it together. With 344 pieces this set took about an hour to build.

I love that lego still has an educational feel to it. Building something like that really takes time, patience, and concentration. I love watching my son have to honestly think about it when he plays.
